OK not sure what is going on with my previous post

I typed up a post regarding my last pre-op visit today and somehow it is appearing with my title and someone's post from Texas!  Not sure what's up with that but I will recap what I tried to post the first time. Pre-op appointment went good.  Here's a break down: - Meet with anethesia (I can't spell that word!!) doc first. - Had 10 tubes of blood sucked out of my arm (ouch!) - Had an EKG done - have a slight heart murmur but nothing serious - Met with surgeon who had me sign all the "you could die but this is rare" consent forms - Paid a sour faced old lady at the cashier's desk $1500.00 and didn't even get a thank you (I really hate that -- at least be friendly when you take my hard earned money!!) - Hubby and I got lost 3 different times in that maze of a hospital (NC Baptist in Winston-Salem)which caused me to about have a nervous breakdown!! All in all, it was a good day.  We went to one of our favorite restaurants afterwards and had some killer crab dip (yummy!!) since I'd been craving it for about a week.  Now that everything is complete pre-op, the countdown begins.  Only 11 more days (not counting today since it's already over!).

Sounds like things went fairly well Donna, congratulations!  Those 11 days will go by fast, do what you can to prepare now.  Take care. Ellen

Congrats! I actually have my first appointment/consultation with Dr. Fuzz and the crew tomorrow afternoon. I'm a bit nervous/excited (and I don't really know why I'm still up this late!) Good luck with your surgery, it's coming up fast! :D

Last night I went to the support group meeting Dr. Fuzz has in Winston and I got to see him, Jeff, Susan and the other lady. Mary something I think? It was a great meeting and made me feel even better about my choice to have the surgery. It took a sad turn when the Mary lady said she was leaving and that last night was her last night. Someone named Amber is taking her place. I could tell everyone liked this lady who is leaving. Susan said not to get too anxious about when you might get a date because July was full except for one spot and they have so many people waiting now. I can be patient. Everyone seems to love Dr. Fuzz. That made me feel good about seeing him. I can't wait until I hear from Susan.

LOL!  I posted a lovely reply to you at that other post.  Even called you "Shannon"!  Then went "wait a minute...that's not Shannon..."  Glad you followed up. Suzanne

LOL Well, I'm glad it isn't just me! I mean, this is only my first cup of coffee, so anything's possible. Sounds like things are moving along for you. Glad that things have worked out for you to be able to proceed with your sugery.  Best of luck. Oh, yeah...tic toc tic toc :O) Mary Ann
