Called Insurance...

Aaaaannnnd... they still have not received the psych eval. I'm so fed up with this mess. It's starting to feel like I'm being held up on purpose.  And NOT by the insurance! I'm really irritated about/by this entire process so far. I never get a call back or a straight answer from the dr's office. I'm to the point of being finished. Just ruined. Do I really want to start this mess all over again with another surgeon? Not really.

Tomorrow morning you need to call and ask for Jacque - she is the office manager for Dr. Lowe, she helped me through some problems that my sister and I had.  Has carrie been working with you?  She can advise you and help you - she is so awesome - she has been doing this for 16 years and is so passionate about it.  Don't give up - call them in the morning - her email address is [email protected]

Carrie? Passionate?  Mama always said if you can't say anything nice... Thanks for the email addy... all the help I've gotten is from ANOTHER surgeon's office. Let me tell you... that girl... to remain nameless... Yes, you know who you are!... ROCKS!  I just think it's a bit ridiculous that I had ALL (plus some they don't require) testing and evals done before I went to them in March. My stuff wasn't even submitted until I raised immortal hell on the first of this month! People that didn't have testing and had later appointments than me are already post op.

I had to call them and say that I was coming over there to pick up my paperwork to take personally to the insurance office.  It was enough to get them moving.  I get the "oh no, that's not necessary, we'll do it" but it was necessary, it was the only way it was going to get to the insurance company.  You can get the fax number from the insurance rep and fax it yourself.  That's what I'd start trying to do.  Gets frustrating when you have to do the job that someone else is being paid for. Take care. Ellen

Wow Shawanna! I guess the message here is that you are not alone.  I experienced many delays that originated at my surgeon's office.  Files were sent that were incomplete.  Forms were missing.  THe docotr's dictation had not yet been transcribed and sent.  On and on.  Don't give up!  I finally got my approval and began this process in November.  It WILL happen! Thanks for the kind words. I got a tip that I am waiting to see pan out.  If I don't get an answer tomorrow, I will fax all the papers myself!
