Oh MY GAWD!!!!! APPROVED!

While at work today, I got a call from Dr Harris' office:  CIGNA approved my WLS!!!!!!!  I'm numb.  They can do it as early as July 10 but no way am I gonna be ready by then.  See, I live alone and need to find someone local to spend a few days with me and taxi me to and from the hospital.  My family is all over the eastern seaboard but nowhere near here.  My sister in Florida could come the end of September, but I sure don't want to wait until then!  Fortunately, my small herd of dairy goats will be mostly gone by then (I hope!).  At least the milkers should be! Gosh, I am all over the place!  I know I sound like a nut, but I wanted to tell you guys as soon as I got home.  For now I have had them pencil me in for the 24th of July!  Suggestions, please????? Yes I do make cheese.  Just made some ricotta the other day in fact.  But in light of all that is going on, as well as the fact that I have been breeding dairy goats for over 10 years and am approaching retirement when I will not have the money to keep them, I made the decision recently to sell off the herd.  Amazingly enough, I got a call this weekend from a new dairy in Connecticut who was looking for milkers, and I made her an offer she couldn't refuse!  Of course I will believe it once the cash clears the bank and the girls are gone...  But it does seem as though it is all coming together. suzanne, I love goat cheese I normally buy it from the local farmers markets from celebrity goat farms. I buy the kind that has herbs and garlic in it and it is wonderful on raw veggies and crackers.                                                               Annie

Congratulations on your approval. I applaude your willingness to not have the surgery at the earliest date possible, if that date isn't a good one for you. Doing this when it is a good time for you is what is most important. The 24th of July will come quickly.

I probably didn't say what I mean ... What I meant to say is that I think you are doing the right thing for you ... Waiting 2 weeks until July 24th instead of saying yes to a date that doesn't work for you ...

The gist of it is that you seem to be doing a good job of recognizing limitations and working within them so that you will have the best result possible for you.
