On my way to doctor
Thank you all for responding.
When it rains it pours.
I am having some trouble with my IUD going to see pcp on Monday may go before.
I got my IUD when I first started to loose weight back in 98 my period came back as regulsr as could be.
They said I needed birth control my goodness at 40 years old.
Anyway the deal was have the IUD and remove it by the time I was 50 well I am 48 now and I think I want it out because of the current trouble I am having.
Then I read about people having wls and get pregnant.
Any insight on this would be good.
Annie
Hi Annie. I hope all goes well with the buggie in your ear. Regarding birth control, if you're still having a period and don't want kids, then you need to do something. You can't take the pill right now, but there are other options. Yes, people can get more fertile after WLS. I'm not sure how that plays out when you're 48, but it can happen.
Talk to you doctor about it, I'm sure he/she'll have some insight about what to go to next.
Take care.
Ellen

Hi Ellen,
I admire your insights you are very knowledgable about the wls which I think is great.
I am going to try to see my doctor this week this IUD has never given me any trouble but it sure is now driving me crazy.
I know it will not be a walk in the park to have it removed but hey if I can go through having a bug in my ear for 8 plus hours I can do this.
I will look into other birth control options.
Annie
