I'm wondering if I would really use it enough. I see alot of people use it to make shakes or to make the "mushies". What do you think: Do you have one? What do you use it for? Do you use it that often or just for a short time period ( mushies)? I saw one at Kohl's today, it was 59$ and looked like it had all kinds of different blades?

My doctor doesn't do the pureed stage, so I didn't buy one.  I hear that it's great if you have to do puree though.  Might be worth checking in with your doctor or paper work about what  stages you have to do.  If you need a blender or processor, maybe it'll be worth it.  The ones I know that own one love it. Own it all, it's yours!

I bought one and used it...now I don't. I use the 16.00 personal blender I got at wal-mart. To me seems easier to use and I personally like it better. Again just w/ WLS everyone is different. :) I mostly use mine for shakes, taking vanilla or choc protien powder and mixing w/ fruit, ice and milk, or peanut butter. I also when I was on liquids would run my soup through it so thatI could drink it. haha (Again I found the personal blender better for this.)  Good Luck!

Thanks - I think I'll check out WallyWorld today. If 16$ will do the job...I'm all for it!  Also, I know if the kids see me zap'n stuff they'll be all over it! Hurts less to replace a 16$ item than a 60$ LOL

Hi Wendy. I was wondering the same thing but decided against it. I have a blender and I think it will be fine. I felt like I'd only use it for the mushy stage and seriously how long can I last on blended meat, lol. If I needed a blender anyway, I'd probably get one. Jennifer

I didn't get one...I thought about it but was too cheap to come up off the 60.00 bucks!! I have pureed spaghetti, chili and my protein shakes and I just do it all in the blender.   =0)

I'll checkout the WallyWorld blender. The kids will probably take it over......like everything else....LOL I like frozen drinks so this would be nice for some smoothies. The thing I think is most appealing about the Bullet is that it comes with numerous mixing cups. Again, if the small blender looks nice it still might be cheaper to do that and then maybe order 1-2 replacement containers?

Wendy, Hi, I'm new to the list, been reading posts for a while, just never posted. I just bought one at Bed, Bath & Beyond last night.  I had a coupon for 20% off, so that was a savings.  Haven't tried it yet, but have heard great reports on it.   P.S. BB&B takes Linen & Things coupons - even if their expired.  I'd be happy to send you one. Mary Pat

Well first off Mary Pat Welcome! I see that we have the same surgeon. I'm having lap, which proceedure are you having? Are you just starting with your pre-ops or are you just new to OH? I'm waiting on insurance approval and then my surgery is soon as there is an opening! It'll be nice getting to know ya - there are quite a few of Dr. Morans patints posting here...but everyone is really nice and very supportive! Thanks for the info on the coupon - I know that I saw one in todays paper for 20% of at Linen-And-Things. I'll have to keep that in mind!
