Raleigh and Eastern NC Meetup!!

Good Morning, Everyone!  In response to the high demand for a local meetup, I would like to cordially invite everyone to breakfast on Saturday, June 23 at 9:30am.  I am trying to get space at I - HOP, Golden Corall, or Perkins (all on Capital Blvd in Raleigh but will keep you apprised as I confirm with them).  This is a time of FUN and friendship. A time where we can meet the ones that we have connected with in person and streghten our relationships.   Thanks to Wendy and Barbara, we are going to try and pull a informal meetup together that will meet on a regular basis.  BRING YOUR IDEAS!! We will survey the group on that day that will address your desires and needs in a group.  I would like to see this be a non traditional group where there is a lot of laughter and fun.  It will only be as strong as every participant, so please come and join us!  If you have a preference for one of the suggested restaurants, please let me know. Awwww, I am so sorry to hear that Laura.  We are definately going to be having future meetings.  I would love to see you come out.  I will be pulling together a survey for future groups so I will include you on the email that goes out.  Take care and hope to talk to you soon!  Candice

As Candice said, we are looking at developing and on-going support-group. One that would not only help those considering and just recently post-op. But help us as we "age-out_of that new to WLS phase" and would be a great way for us to support and help each other so we can successfully maintain our weight loss. So there will be plenty of opportunities see you over the years!

I agree that all is happening quickly ...While Candice and I actually started talking about this a couple of months ago, it had fallen off my radar with my surgery last Tuesday. I'm just now coming up for air ... so to speak. I'm glad that something is underway. I believe Candice is considering using a forum like Meeting.Com that we can all use to find out about Triangle WLS Events. I really look forward to meeting you in the future.

I think maybe an hour, it is not that far.  I emailed ellen a few mins ago.  I am going to see if she wants to go with me or me with her and that will be better.
