Raleigh support groups?

I really need to find a support group in the Raleigh area. According to the list, the closest one is in Dunn. There has to be one closer to Raleigh. I had RNY May 2004, went from 361 to 210 and in the last year, I have gained 40 pounds back. Need to find a group to help get back on track. Thanks in advance for the help. Bob

There one that has been mtg in Raleigh on the 1st Sat of the month.  Apparrently, the site may be changing. I think hat there is another one I heard of as well. 

i just had surgery last wk., so I'm just now getting my feet under me. I'll check into the 2 I know of and post a response asoon as I can.

Bob, My Dr. (Dr. Moran in Raleigh) has a support group meeting this month on 6/27 at around 7:30pm at their office. The web site is www.alasurgery.com  He has a seminar for new patients from 6:30-7:30, then the support group meets after that.  I will be going, as my surgery is the 28th of this month! Lori - I hope to go to Dr. Morans this month also. We'll finally "really" get to meet each other. I hope alot of people go. Have you been to any of his meetings yet?

Lori- I haven't either. I can't remember what was going on that nite - I have a hard enough time remembering what I watched on tv last nite. LOL Did you see the support group were getting together here in the Raleigh area (Capital Blvd area)? I'll be involved in that and hope you can be also. It should be a fun group!                             .             .

Wendy, I saw that and it will be a crap shoot as to weather I can come or not, my oldest son plays travel baseball, so we are out of town on the weekends a bunch.

Every 3rd Thursday there is a support group meeting at the Rex Hospital Cancer Center in the auditorium at 6:30.  There are folks there from all sorts of places.  Pres and Posts.  Its great come check us out! ~misslaura

Bob, I belong to a support group that meets here in Raleigh on the first Saturday of each month.  We call ourselves the Sweet Tomatoes because we began meeting at the Sweet Tomatoes Restaurant on Capital Blvd.  Our coorindator is Rosemary Berger.  You can reach her at:  [email protected]
