I have BCBS IL PPO.  It took me about three weeks.  I strongly suggest that you call the number on the back of your card, and make a friend of the person you talk to.  Get their extension number, and ask them to help you make sure everything goes thru well.  Ask for their guidance.  I had such great success by doing so, that my ins contact sent me a personal get well card when I went in for surgery!  I honestly think the biggest issue in ins submissions is some of the papers getting mislaid, not sent, etc.  If you have a champion at the ins co, they can walk things thru for you.  Good luck!

Thanks for all the kind words everyone!  Yes, I did call BCBS, and they got the paperwork, and said it is pending, and has gone to the nurses and Dr.'s for approval. I did not realize that we needed to 5 full years of a BMI over 40!  Mine has also dipped, and I do not really have the co-morbidity issues.  I figured that would show that at least I have TRIED to lose weight! Oh well, time will tell...
