support group in asheville area

i'm looking for a support group in the asheville area. is the PARK RIDGE HOSPITAL group still meeting? the asheville group that meets at 6 am is out of the question, since i have to drive an hour to get there and an hour back to get to work on time.  so, that would get me up at...like....4 am. i had surgery in january, 2005 at park ridge with dr. huffman.  that group was awesome, but seems to have gone dormant. please, somebody, let me know. brightest of blessings, paula

I meet with a group in Waynesville. They meet the 3rd Saturday of each month. I don't know of many groups in the area. There is one that meets on Hendersonville Road that I believe is open... don't know any more than that. Sorry. You are welcome to come to the one in Waynesville. Hope this helped in some way. Hi, your profile said your from Burnsville.  Is that in Anson County?  Just asking b/c I am from Peach/Polkton area.

no....sorry, i should have clearified... THIS burnsville is in yancey county.  the far western part of the state, on the TN line.  there's ANOTHER burnsville, nc, in the eastern part, i think.  i'm an hour north of asheville.
