Buy a sample packet from bariatric eating .com. Trust me ... your taste will change.. Myfav is protein delight chocolate coconut. Mixed with calorie countdown or skin and ice in the blender  Beware has pieces of choc and coconut... for a  thin drink, I use Isopure Zero carb, creamy vanilla with  package of orange walmart brand  "crystal light" stuff... the puddings go down easy post op. Isopure ready made is also easy post op since your just sipping.. I found once something gagged me it was over for a LONG time. Also love Nectar Cappacino., hot or cold. Be careful with hot drinks if the water is tto hot OMG vile!! Good luck  Gail

I liked the Isopure in the bottles.  The blue was my fav.  Other than that the only thing I could really stomach was the chocolate Carnation instant breakfast with no sugar added.  Just remember, if you use the Carnation stuff you have to mix it with milk to get all the protien.  (Seems obvious, but I know of a few folks that mixed it with their coffee.)

I think the Isopure was about 3  bucks a bottle -- I just can't recall.  It was less for a case -- about 27 dollars.  I got mine at the Vitamin Shoppe.  There is one in Matthews at 51 and Independence (next to Target).  See www.vitaminshoppe.com.

I use protein drinks from www.unjury.com.  They taste great and you can get sample packs.  Also, the Special K protein water tastes very good too. Best of luck to you! Lori

I would like to suggest something I learned at a Southeast Bariatric support group meeting.  If you have a Smoothie King near you, try their Gladiator protein!!!!  It is incredible and extremely good for you!  You can try it at the store in a gladiator shake.  I recommend the strawberry!  It has a 187 calories + whatever the strawberries have (about 60 I think) and that is with a double scoop of protein (way more than the average woman can absorb) When I make it at home I use 1 heaping scoop and the total amount of calories is under 200.  This is the only protein that I can stand and I am totally hooked!  I highly recommend it! Good luck,

~* Christie *~

i'm 2 and a half years post op. i've been doing the CHAMPION PURE WHEY STACK protein shakes the whole time, and still do.  i mix it with a little sugar free international coffee to bump up the taste factor.  it comes in a bunch of flavors. you can get samples from vitalady, online, for, i think, 1.25 each, before getting a big jug.  i buy the 5 lb jugs online.
