surgery on the 5of june

I was just wondering how many people are having their surgery on the 5 of june. I am having mine on that date, at Franklin reg. Dr. Moran. I don't post that often, but all of you have been a great help. Thanks.

I'm also having my RNY surgery on June 5th. I'm using Duke WLS Center. The surgery will be done by Dr. Eric DeMaria at Durham Regional Hospital.

I'm assuming that you are fairly close because you are seeing Dr. Moran. Feel free to contact me if you would like a "Surgery Buddy."

I am looking forward to an uneventful, successful, surgery and the next step in our journey to living healthier lives.

I'm new to this so what is a "Surgery Buddy."

A surgery buddy is someone having surgery about the same time as you are. Someone to "talk" to who is probably going through the same issues ... I did look at your "Page" ... Since it was "empty" I also checked your posts and noticed that you have a great "built-in" surgery buddy. That's great and I wish you and your wife great success.

If you and/or your wife want to be able talk w/or meet someone else in the area having surgery about the same time, let me know.

My surgery is not until July but I just wanted to stop by and wish you the best with your upcoming surgery.  Keep us updated as to your progress.  We love reading success stories and sharing this journey with others who are going thru the same issues.  And everyone here is great to help out with advice and to answer any questions that you might have so please, don't be a stranger! Ms Traci, I noticed you were from Salisbury I am just down the road from you in Faith NC, i know you know where that is.  good Luck....Had by surgery 5-22-07 so i am 1 week out tomorrow

i will be about 3 weeks out by the time you have your surgery, Barbara C will be great as a surgery buddy...trust me you always wonder if the ""things that are going on with you after surgery are NORMAL"""   Good luck and don't get  discouraged the first night, I know I  and IT may be normal.  I thought to my self what the heck did i do this for....i felt terrible. But the same night at 1230am my Doctor came by to check on me...he has a case(he also does general surgery) I was up. He even offered the next day to open the blinds for me.....SUNSHINE always helps when you are in the hospital.

My surgery will Be June 6th at ECU pitt hospital Greenville by Dr. Pender.  I am nervous and of course saying alot of prayers I'm not one of the few ones that have problems.  My mom has in her way realized all her little digs are not going to discourage me so she has asked to come that day.  I worry that she will honestly do something to **** off the doctor.  Key word there is Honestly.  She has her issues and most are negative.  She admitted that I had issues just waiting for me just to get a little heavery and older.  I am the youngest.  My mom and sister are all over weight, have, surgar, heart conditions, blood pressure, thyroid, arthritus, my middle sister is being treated for stage 4 uterin cancer.  My oldest sister was probably over 400 pounds at one time and now down to low 200's and they don't know why.  I would swear she had this surgery and is having server dumping issues but she says she hasn't.  Needles to say they see only one gall stone and evidance of an old ulcer.  So they are  going to  do a full body scane with her gastro doctor becuase my mom swears she must have cancer.  This has been going on for 3 years.  Her stomach issues seem to have gotten worse.  So do I have reasons for wanting to do this .... yep, I am a time bomb waiting to go off.  I am glad that I have found this Board!!!
