Will I need to keep location in mind when picking a doctor? How many visits per week will I be traveling to?

I personally kept location in mind, there are a lot of pre-testing that needs to be done. As far as your visits, it depends on if you are going with lap-band or RNY. With Lap-Band, you will need to visit more often for fills. I am glad I chose a Dr. pretty close. Good Luck! Lori

Pre-op I had a consult with the surgeon, a visit with a NUT and visit with a psych... once I was approved I had a 2 week pre-op with the surgeon. Post-op my surgeon sees you at 2 weeks after surgery, 3 months, 6 months, then 1 year out for life.

First visit to surgeon - 288 ~ bmi 45.1
2 week pre-op 252 ~ bmi 39.5
Total lost - 153 Since surgery - 117!
Goal weight - 155 (mine) 180 (surgeons)
Current weight - 135 (2020 I lost 10lbs due to dedicating myself to working out more and being in better shape)

1/14/2025 still maintaining 135 :-)

I am pre op and definately not an expert, but I would suggest to choose one that is close, since you will have to go for follow ups. Good luck! Stacy Hoffman

Ok, it is not like having to go to the dr. 3 or 4 times in a week. I can travel for 1 or 2 visits a week.

Sure. It is midway between Spartanburg and Rutherfordton, next to Chesnee.
