I have a tentative date (finally!!!!)
Hello everyone. Just wanted to let you know that after almost 6 months of VERY frustrating waiting and nail biting, my surgery is tentatively scheduled for July 9th!!!!!
WWWWWOOOOOOOOOO HHHHHHHOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My surgeon's office called me at work during lunch today to tell me that they have faxed my stuff to the insurance company and expect to get a response by the end of next week. I AM SOOOOO EXCITED!!!!!!!!!! Honestly, I didn't know whether to laugh or cry so I did both!!!!! This is such a lllloooonnnngggg journey and being that I am not well known for my patience, it's one I thought I'd never see to the end. But I did and now all I have to do is wait on a big ole YES from the insurance company and the race is on!!!!!! I can't believe it is almost here!!!!
O.K., gotta go breathe into a paper bag now. . .
Hang in there you will be approved before you know it! My surgery is May 29th and I getting nervous!
I was like you as far as excited I felt like I was on cloud 9!!!!!!
Now reality is beating me down... just nervous etc. Everything is done so I am doing the 10 day liquid diet starting Sat. FUN FUN FUN!!**
Hope you have a wonderful week/end and get that call soon....
Patience is a virture I did not master!
Blessings from N.C.

I too have been on this trip for over 6 months. Sometimes I feel like I have lost my initial enthusiasm about the surgery. Thank God for this board because hearing everyone else's successes keeps me up.
I have the insurance approval for a few weeks now and my appointments with the surgeon and the pre-op admittance office are on June 4th. I am assuming that surgery will follow shortly after that. I have been on this road since November 2006 and I'm ready to get off!
My patience is running out and depression is setting in. Surgery can't come quick enough.
Hope you get your 'yes' soon. Keep smilin! E
Thanks for your kind words Ethel!! I'm sorry to hear that you are starting to feel depression setting in. I know that for me this has been the hardest thing I've ever done and I've not even had the surgery yet!!! But that's why we have each other to talk to and lean on to help us over the bumps along the way and just think how much better we will all feel in a few months!!! Hang in there and don't jump off this ride just yet, o.k.??!!! Your surgery will be scheduled before you know it!
Hugs,
Donna
