Does anyone know any wl doctors in my area?

If you are near Greenville/East Carolina University, this is the Best place. I've looked at alot of information. The most common form of Gastric by pass was started here. The team there has been doing this since the 70. Than you will be invited to a seminar with others where you will bring forms they send you to fill out. You will be weighed and this is the base weight they start with and at no time after can you gain anymore weight or your out even up to the last day if you go over this starting weight. Good Luck. I live in Charlotte and I am having RNY surgery 5-28-07 at CMC-Mercy. Dr. Timothy Kuwada. Great doc, great support. They have 2-3 information sessions a month and one support meeting every month. Thanks for the info. I know you are excited and nervous about your surgery. The good will outweigh the bad (no pun intended), I am sure. Just think of how much better you will feel. I wish I was as far along with my plans as you are. How long does it take to set the surgery date after your first office visit? I have alot of medical problems and want to get off of some of these meds. I also want to feel my age instead of 40 years older. I will be saying a prayer for you on May 28. Every thing will go well. Thanks for the info. I know you are excited and nervous about the surgery. You are right to consider the danger of being overweight without surgery along with the danger involved with the surgery. I think the minimal is with the surgery. What do you think about the post surgery menu? I don't know alot about it. Will I be able to eat enough that my sugar won't drop too low? I am a diabetic. One of the reasons I want to have this surgery is to get off of some of my meds as well as to feel better. I will say a prayer for you on the 7th of June. Everything will go great!!!
