Putting the cart before the horse..
Ellen- I know I was taking a shot in the dark - but it worked out. I can totally understand why Doc's don't schedule without approval because of the insurance playing game. If they schedule and insurance falls through they have a empty spot and plain and simple that's $$$$$. Just hoping that everything continues smoothly!

hey i got my date before approval too. whos your insurance with???? I believe that the dr office only submits if they are sure they wil be approved;) I may be wrong but I just think that. They do so many surgery that i believe they basically know by paperwork who will and wont be approved so best of luck to you and no worries about approval----It will happen.......im may23.....
I agree it is putting the horse before the cart.
I was so excited and anxious to get the surgery.
When I got approved they had scheduled it out a month but then there was a cancellation and asked if I wanted to jump it up 2 weeks. Of course I said yes.
It all happens when it happens.
I hope you get your approval soon and you have the surgery soon.
got my fingers crossed for you.

I have UHC and it took 3 weeks for approval. I just received a statement from them yesterday. They paid my surgery bills to the tune of $35,929.97!!!! I was shocked to think they thought I was worth all that. (Love that self esteem!!!) LOL I also got bumped up 5 weeks with a cancellation. It was like wait, wait, wait then.... day after tomorrow! I am so happy it went down that way. I didn't have time to freak out. LOL Please keep us posted. My prayers are with you!
Blessings,
Diane
