What was/is your biggest fear...

You are hilarious. My pcp started me on provera to make me menstrate, I took it for two months and nothing. I have never been pregnant. I have acne too. It sucks. I don't know if after wls this will get better. I have heard it will, what have you heard? Stacy

My PCP, OBGYN and shrink have all said it will help. Weight effects PCOS... PCOS effects weight. It's all a pain in the arse! I've been on metformin therapy. It usually takes about 3 months or so for it to get started. I've been off it for several months now due to my size. I'm just too big to feel clean and I didn't want anything else adding to it. The doc agreed because I am overall healthy and I agreed to be checked so often. My PCP has 4 other patients who have had bariatric surgery, all RNY, and 3 have gotten pregnant! The 4th was late 40's and said she wasn't going that route... she had 3 teens at home!! My son is eight and I can't say I blame her there. 8 going on 40. He is a third of the way to 21 though... might have to rethink this kid idea...

Do you want another child? I love to hear stories of wls helping people be able to get pregnant. I want atleast one baby. I think they say we should wait like 18 to 24 months before trying. My biological clock is ticking. Stacy

I would have a dozen if I had room! If I get lucky and get one or two more I'll be excited. If not, I've got one of the best boys around and I'm happy with just him!

Once the weight starts coming off, the PCOS, and the majority of the time PCOS ( insulin resistance) can cause infertility, the weight will come off and low and behold you can become pregnant, they say to wait. Just because you were infertile before the weight after it comes off you may become fertile Myrtle. HAHAHA

I'm gonna hold off on calling Myrtle for a bit!

Nothing from the male side of the house?? Well, I'll be brave. My biggest fear was the catheter. I wanted to make sure I was completely out before they did that. Reflecting back, I should made sure I was out when the pulled it out. Bobby

My fear was that I would have gone through all of this and it would not work. That I would still be fat. I am concerned that I am going to be a weightloss failure.
