What's PCOS? Lots of people have said your period will come whether it's time for it or not. I have always been a 28 day to the day kind of girl. I had the curse two weeks before surgery and thought "YAY I won't have to deal with that during surgery time". WRONG! on day two...here she comes in all her glory. I had to get those industrial monster size pads from the nurse. Then, two weeks later, there it is again. Heavier than ever. Then I went back to once a month. :::sigh:::: what's a girl to do?

PolyCystic Ovary Syndrome... big words that basically mean your ovaries don't work as they should. I don't produce eggs and my body deosn't use the hormones like it should. Makes it hard to lose weight and I'm one of the lucky ones who has more hair than any man I know!! to the tweezer and wax gods!

My biggest fear is what my life will be like 10 years or more from now. Will I still be healthy, will I have gained it back, etc? However, I believe that this is the right thing for me, and it will work out. Oh, and the best advice I heard about wiping your own butt is to get a long wooden spoon (one you won't be using again), and use it to ..... er.... extend your reach. Take care. ~Ellen

They say it works fairly well, but..... um...... you might want to throw away that spoon when you're better.....

Like the other gals, my "curse" started the day after surgery , after only having it the week before, so do take some girl things along just in case. As far as butt wipe--- I had no problems with this , I was a bit sore but still I could reach the ol butt area. I did have major back surgery a few years ago and spent months in a full body brace and was unalble to wipe, I was so blessed to have a husband that was wonderful and helped me out , even when the curse came he took care of it for me ALSO my dear sweet mother in law helped me , she is a angel . You will get by it all Shawana, don't worry about it, buy you some of the wet toliet wipe things they will help get your area clean. Otherwise if you can wipe now you sholud be able to then . My biggest worry before surgery was , WHAT if there are problems and my insurance will not cover it, I was a self pay, I prayed that the Lord would take care of me, and I was fine no extra problems at all. THANK GOD Good Luck !!!!

I have a wonderful support team. I guess I am like everyone else and have a million different worries at a million different times. Baby wipes are on the list! Better go hit the stores... again!

My biggest fear is that I will be sicker after surgery. I feel pretty good now and am able to work everyday. I don't ever want to be down where I can't work. I think I would go crazy being stuck at home 24/7. I am also too proud to have anyone care for me. That would probably drive me crazy too. As for aunt Flo aka: "the hooker" I haven't had a visit in one year. I would love to see her. It is a bad feeling to know that your body doesn't do what it should. And I want to get pregnant so bad. That is part of the reason that I began to research wls. Shawana, I have PCOS also. I also have extra hair. I hate it. You are so lighthearted about everything. You have such a great attitude. Oh, and about wiping my butt, I will get try all of the kitchen utensils before I let someone else do it. I am too embarrassed. Stacy

Nair is my best friend! I've not had a visit from the hooker that wasn't induced with medication in 12 years except one... and I ended up pregnant from that one! I, like you, would love to get pregnant. That's a reason I looked into wls, too. As far as the hair goes, I could shear myself and knit a sweater collection! I do have to admit... I have a better 'love trail' than most men! Eat your heart out Fabio! Love yourself no matter shape, size or hair growth. I hate the hair most of all. That DOES mess with my depression. I just want to be able to go out without having to pluck/wax/shave as part of getting ready! And being 30 with acne is a ****** I didn't even have it during puberty! I see it like this... We were too cute so we got hairy so some of the others could get some attention! It's a skinny girl conspiracy!!!!
