I just found out I've been approved!

I called my insurance company, United Health Care's Secure Horizons, to check to see where my pre-certification was in the determination process and Ross said ... "Your good to go" ... I asked for clarification ... Just to be sure... and he said the application for pre-certification had been approved for surgery. OH YEAH! OH YEAH!!! Of course my Dr's office is closed, so I have to get the "next steps" tomorrow. I am really excited (and have a bit of trepidation). On to the next part of my journey to a healthier me! Congratulations Barbara! Now we are both at the same place in the long line to surgery! I was approved last week but I don't have an appointment with my surgeon until June. The big hurdle was the insurance coverage and we are over that hurdle so I guess now it's just a matter of patience...I'm trying!

Barbara, I am soooooooo happy for you. You were the first person on the OH board to befriend me and although I haven't been posting much, I keep up with everyone. How cool! I have submitted to insurance one week and am dying to hear "approved". How long were you pending approval? Jennifer
