OT: Anyone following American Idol?

HOOKED and not ashamed to admit it! They have discovered some wonderful talent, including many from our home state NC! Huge Daughtry fan, my husband and I went to see him when he was just here in Raleigh @ the Lincoln Theatre. The show was UNBELIEVEABLE! I also have tix to see him in Winston Salem in June! I'm starting to like Carrie Underwood even though I'm not real big on Country Music. I like her song about the cheat'n boyfriend. Anyhow, this year is really tough for me, I really like all remaining 4. It's going to be tough! What's you opinion on the show? Wendy

We watch it every week. It's set to DVR in case we're not home to see it. My husband and I like Melinda Doolittle. She's head and shoulders above the rest. My sons liked Blake until he massacred "You Give Love a Bad Name" last week. We'll see what happens. I love Daughtry too. We ran out and got the CD the first day it came out. He's going to be at the Delaware State Fair this year, we're hoping to get tickets to see him there. We have family up that way. Take care. ~Ellen

I know Melinda is out of this WORLD! No matter what happens, like Chris Daughtry, she's going to have a fabulous singing career. I like Blake because he is so unique. See I like how he changed the song around, that's him and shows his personality. I think we'll see cd's from all 4 of them. That's why I was saying it's hard for me getting down to this point in the elimination Wendy

I can respect his talents, but we're Bon Jovi fans here. My sons are teenagers, but they both love Bon Jovi songs. So it was hard listening to it done so differently. I agree, Melinda is in good shape no matter what. What surprises me is that she didn't get a recording contract before now.

They are all fabulous singers! I just love the show. I am rooting for Jordin Sparks.. a 17 y/o with a dynamite voice. They will all go very far! Diane

I'm just relieved that Sanjaya went packing. Now I don't care who wins because they are all talented. My personal fav is Melinda, of course, but Jordin could take it too. And I thought last night's BeeGees episode was worst yet. Don't hate me, but I didn't care for the Bee Gees even when they were so popular with the whole Saturday Night Fever disco daze.
