Hello, I am 4 days post-op from gastric by-pass. I came home on Friday, May 4, and had surgery on Wed. May 3. I am having gas some kind of crazy, what can I do?

Ask the doc if you can take gas x. I take lots of gas x and I try to quietly release my flatuance. Gas X works, great. I take 2 generic gas x because you can get 60lbs for the price of 30. A heating pad will help also. Just make sure it's ok

Walk as much as possible. Walking helps your body release the gas. Seriously, it is the best thing you can do for it. Congratulations on having your surgery done! Good luck and keep us posted. ~Ellen

Ellen is on the money. The walking will help you in so many ways. You'll have better oxygenation which will help you heal faster. Walking actually helps your body to get moving ... literally and figuratively. I hope that you feel better soon. All the best, Barb
