i have aetna?... if anyone knows, all of my appts are done and my file is complete and i go see the surgeon tuesday... will they schedule my surgery that day or will they wait to hear from the ins co...they already know that the ins will pay for it?
It depends on your surgeon... my surgeon didnt schedule surgery until I got approval... some surgeons will set a date for surgery but wont perform surgery until they get the approval.
If you did the 3 month plan for Aetna they require you follow up w/ the surgeon after the 3 months. Once the surgeon "approves" your program is when we will normally submit to insurance. After the approval is when we schedule appts. So yes every surgeon is different.
