Its been a while...
Its been a little while since I posted an update so I thought I would (for those who care!!!)
Last night the presby support group was great... DrCapizzi from Stillwater Plastic Surgery in Huntersville came to speak to the group... learned a lot of great information and saw a ton of boobs (from the slideshow!! haha).
Next week I will be 10 months out, as of today I am 177lbs... down 75lbs since surgery 111lbs in total!!! I was hoping to reach my goal of 155 by 1 year out but as that date is getting closer I am now aiming to get out of the 170's and into the 160's by goal... these last pounds are proving much more difficult than the previous! I started with a trainer 4 weeks ago so I am hoping the ramp up in exercise and weight training will help me get close to my goal. I am estatic to report my energy has finally come back!! I was in CT two weeks ago and spoke to my Aunt who is an RN about it... she said I should double up on my B12... so in addition to the sublingual B12 I started taking the liquid BComplex I had and it made a HUGE difference... its AMAZING! Anyways, Im going to keep working hard to get as close to my goal by 1 year out. I cant wait to go for my follow-up.
As a side note... on Thursday I am going to my frist Hot Yoga class... should be interesting!!!
Thanks for sharing Jennifer. It's encouraging to me to read of other's successes. I will keep the B-12 in mind too. I believe you can get monthly shots from your doctor for that as well. I have to ask the question, what is Hot Yoga? I'm picturing Brad Pitt as the instructor, but I'm figuring that's not what you meant.
Take care.

At my 6 month follow up surgeon said my b12 wasnt low enough for long enough to warrant the shot - believe me I tried!!! They switched me from the liquid BComplex to sublingual B12 at that point and said at my 1 year we would see where I was at.
Hot Yoga... the room is set to something around 105 degrees so you get sweaaaaaaaaty!!! wooo I wish we had Brad Pitt as the instructor!
I'll tell you the best B12 that I've ever taken is The Vitamin Shoppe brand of B12. It's methylcobalamin instead of cyanocobalamin. It's a more active form. They are black cherry sublingual lozenges. A friend of mine told me about them, and I've been taking them for a while now. They keep me in a good mood as well as give me more energy. I thought I'd share. You may already be taking some with methylcobalamin, but I had to put my two cents worth in.
