I found another great resource!
Jan Ocala referred me to www.fitday.com. Thanks Jan!!!
I am finding it to be a wonderful resource. I think it may end up being one of the better tools I'll use to lose and maintain my weight.
It has a great "food log" so you can see how much protien (vs carbs or fats) you are getting.
It has an "activity log" where you can log your exercise. and if you want to be detailed it will factor the calories expended to shower, drive, as well as walk, go shopping, etc.
The weight log tracks your starting wt, current wt, amt lost, etc. and graphs it for you.
One of the tools I really like is the "mood log". you can actually track your moods along with your activity and eating so that you can see the relative relationships of your mood to exercise (or not) and food.
The body log is where you can track your inches lost.
The diary/journal is a great place to articulate your moods, a great recipe, how you liked/or felt about foods, activities, acomplishments, dr's visits, just about anything.
The Overview gives you a quick graphic birds eye view of what you are doing and the results of your efforts/or not ... A great motivator!
The Reports allows you to slice and dice all of the information you are tracking ... the more data you input, the more precise the reports. It is probably one of the best overall things on the site because it allows you to realistically look at your habits and paterns against the goals you set. This enables you to identify positive and negative trends and behavior ... and even link it to how you have been feeling.
All-in-all, I'm going to use it so that I can learn about what I'm doing, what the impact of my actions are in relation to my goals. That way I can make adjustments to make this a positive experience. I hope they plan to keep doing this for the next 50 yrs or so
I hope it might be helpful to you as well.
