WLS veterans - RDU area

Hi! My name is Candice. I am a newbie to this forum and currently working toward my surgery in July. I am looking for other area people who have either had the surgery or are preparing for the surgery as well. I would love to get together and form a local network of people. Hi Candice, I had my surgery done at UNC Chapel Hill by Dr. Timothy Farrell. He is the greatest in my opinion. I live closer to Burlington in Haw River, but not too far. Blessings on your journey! Blessings, Diane

Candice - I am "in the process" at Duke. Don't have a "green light" yet, but I know it will come in time. I'd be delighted to meet with you and others. There used to be a "formal" support group in Cary, but it disbanded just as I was joining. I think that some of the people from that group might still be interested. Barbara, Thanks for your response. Looks like we are in the same phase in our process. The pre-op phase takes a lot of patience and persaverince. My projected timeframe is July but we will see if that is going to happen. Do you have contact information for the other members of the Cary group. I would love to email them and see what kind of response that we get. I am going to Moore Regional's support group at the Embassy Suites at Crabtree on the 23rd. Hi Barbara, I just wanted to say hello! I am orginally from Raleigh ( my parents still live there) I live in Dunn, NC now ( between Raleigh and Fayetteville) I am 20 months out from a RNY and have lost 120 lbs. Hi Candice, how are you? I have family in the RDU area. I had my surgery in Aug 05. I weighed in at 277 I wouldn't trade it for the world from a size 24 to 10/12. Still execersizing that is what I hate the most. but it is worth it I am sure that you will do good July 21 is my B-day cross your fingers!!!!!!!!!!!! Just follow the Dr. orders and your reward is on the way!!!!!!! I LOVE YOU!!!!!!! Henrietta
