ok NC wake up!
Hi Diane -
I think that the boards are so quiet because so many people go away over "spring break" and of course it's such a family holiday for so many. I'm sure everyone will be back at it early next week.
It sounds to me like you are doing really well in the weightloss area. How are you doing otherwise? Have you seen your doctor's yet?
Well, I'd better take care of some of things I'm supposed to do, but I'll check in later.
Barb
Hi Barb,
I'm sure you are right about that. So far I have lost 13 lbs. Getting all my proteins in has been a challenge. I can't seem to tolerate eggs anymore and chicken now nauseates me. The shakes seem too sweet, but I am forcing them down. That's a new concept for me! Hah! Started getting leg cramps at night. So I am trying to increase my potassium and stay even more hydrated. It's a huge balancing act. I cannot get over how much smaller I am in 12 days! I still am trying to regain my strength. But all in all Barb, I have been incredibly blessed! I love my little pouch. Again, thanks for all you do Barb.
Blessings,
Diane
Hi Jennifer!
I am so glad you decided to join us. Thank you so much for the compliment. I am going for counseling for the head hunger. Head hunger is a nice name for my food addiction. I've got a jump start on it now, but as I heal and time passes I know it's going to rear it's ugly head. My biggest struggle is getting my strength back. I plan on a lot of rest this week. I have 2 quilts to complete which I enjoy so much. This is a wonderful time of year to be out of work! I have 2 weeks til I go back and intend on making the most of it.
Again welcome and Easter blessings to you!
Diane
Easter Blessing to you too Diane.
You are doing fantastic... 13 lbs in 11 days and at the gym already. Hey, maybe it's time to buy that set of scales!
Easter was great. My son and his wife and my sweet little grandbaby girl were here for the weekend and I got to snuggle, and play, and bathe, and feed, and rock and sing to that little bitty angel all weekend. They just left to go home about an hour ago! Grandma is pooped! But, I loved every minute of it.
Hope your day was filled with joy too. I have a question for you...how was it to have a holiday without all the food?
Take care and keep up the good work. Don't forget to rest too.
E
Hi Ethel!
Thanks so much for the encouragement! How wonderful to have your son and family and "especially" your granddaughter! I have had company all week long. My friend Mary and her 12 yr. old daughter Sarah came down from Bloomburg, NY to help me after my surgery. Mary was a godsend! They left on Saturday morning. It was sad to see them go. Now I can really rest! And no more smelling that wonderful food I can't eat! That is really hard at first. Now that I am alone it is easier.
I must say I missed all the cooking. But when I went to get dressed and actually got into a size smaller clothes, it made it all worth while. Of course, I am far from slim, but the difference in less than 2 weeks is like a miracle!
Can't wait to show off at the next support group meeting! See you then. I'm so glad you are with Dr. Farrell. He is my hero!
Blessings,
Diane
Hi! Congratulations on those mean, ugly, devilish pounds you lost. I was off work Thurs. for my endoscopy, Friday for Easter. I don't have a computer at home. But, I really missed being able to read the post. It is so nice to be able to talk to people who have the same problems as I do. Keep us posted.
