Greensboro Family Doctor?

Hi - Can anyone recommend a family doctor in Greensboro, NC who is at least somewhat compassionate with obese patients. I'm 47 years old, 5' 4" tall and weigh about 450. Haven't been to a doctor for a checkup in nearly 8 years basically because I've been treated so horribly in the past. One of my main concerns is finding a doctor who has had experience with someone my size and who has the equipment, i.e. exam bed, gown, bp cuffs, etc. that will work for me. I'd love to explore WLS, but need to find a regular doctor first. Thanks for any info.!!

Hi Cindy, I don't know what side of Greensboro you are on. But my PCP is Dr. Timothy McGrath of the Kernodle Clinic in Burlington, NC. He is wonderful and was so excited for me to get this surgery. Cindy B.... I've got a great doctor for you. Her name is Yvonne Lowne with LeBauer Healthcare. She is in the Guilford/Jamestown location off of Wendover @ Guilford College Rd. I've been seeing her for the past 2yrs. She is who the gals at Central Carolina Surgery reffered me to once I decided to have WLS. When I got there, I found out why. Because she had gastric bypass surgery earlier that year. She's the best and has helped me all the way. Ieven got my husband to go see her and just recently he was having some problems with his arm going numb. He is a diabectic and suffers with feet and leg pain. She did lab work and noticed that his white blood count was through the roof. She had him do all kinds of test (which all came back - negative) but stayed right on top of them and even called him personally to let him know the results, etc. She even gave him her personal cell # just in case she needed him over the weekend.
