Wow.. I just came from the gym where I spent 20 minutes on the treadmill. Ok not much, but I walked .70 mile and burned 54 calories and actually broke a good sweat! They have a lot of great fitness equipment! It felt good to be up on the treadmill again! I felt so differently than before. I realized that I am no longer fighting obesity... I am walking towards fitness! I'm running the 2008 Marine Corps Marathon in Washington, D.C. It's a flat coarse and I will be in the over 55 group! So it starts today and everyday I will go further! Can't wait to start running again. Almost left without weighing myself. I'm down 10 lbs. Got off the scale, Zeroed it. Got back on, weighed the same. Got off the scale, checked to see if the slider was in the slot...it was. Got on.. still the same. got off... zeroed it... asked the instructor passing by.. Is this scale accurate? Could it be???? Thanks Ethel! I am so thankful for the resources I have to lose weight. There is plenty of room on this bench and there's more everyday! Keep well!

YAY!!!!!!!!!! I am so happy for you. Keep it up. That tread mill is killer. I have to really make myself get on it. I honestly thought it would be easier or more desireable than walking outside, but it is not. I find myself watching the counter and it makes it seem like time is going by sooooooooooooooo slow. When you are sweating it out, just think there are others that you are inspiring!!!!!!! We are sweating it out too and looking to as a role model. That is what we are here for. Support and be role models. 10 lbs in 7 days wow! Please keep us posted.

Thanks Stacy! I'm headed back on that treadmill later this morning. My gym has lots of tv's and a place for a book... like I could read on the treadmill! Hah! Thank you for being so very encouraging to me. I appreciate you so much. Please keep us updated on how you are. Blessings, Diane
