Howdy Doody Dude! Welcome to the sunny south (east). I actually live in Fort Mill, SC, about three minutes from the NC line and Charlotte (home of the future NASCAR hall of fame!!!) My doc is in NC too, so I hang out on both SC and NC boards. I am pre-op, weighting () for the insurance co to get the medical review done and working on a pre-op diet to lose 45 lbs (down to 350) prior to rny. I am 48 , married to the bestest guy in the world for almost 24 years , a lawyer with an insurance carrier , and live beside my neice, nephew in law and their five fantastic kids! If you get a chance to get down to the Charlotte area (~ 2 hours from Asheville) I'd love to meet you and get a cuppa ! What brought you to Asheville specifically?

Hi Robin, What brought me to Ashville was that I had had it with Austin and Someone told me that Asheville is just like Austin used to be...They were right. Stay in touch. Hello Christian, I am in Charlotte and am new to the area, sort of, I have been here almost a year but everything still seems new to me. I am pre-op right now with a surgery date of May 9th. How long ago did you have your surgery?

Hi Christian Welcome to NC. I had surgery in June of 06. slow loser compared to some, but its getting there. I've lost right around 95 lbs and about 40 left to go. I need to update a new picture. I live about 45 minutes from Asheville. Anytime you want to get together let me know. Have lunch or whatever, I'm available now...company I worked for was sold and now I'm out of a job and don't plan on looking for one for a bit. So have time and car, will travel I'm from Georgia so leaving tomorrow to spend a few weeks there then coming back and going to Oklahoma for a week. You been to Myrtle Beach yet? I am planning a trip in May. It sounds like I am getting all my vacation in that I've missed for the last 8 yrs all in 2 months...LOL How long do you plan on staying in Asheville? How long have you been there so far? Ok...talk to ya soon
