I found a great resource!
I am in the evalutation process with the Duke Weight Loss Surgery Center in Durham. Their dietician pointed me to a link that is full of information. http://www.barixclinicsstore.com/healthfulhabits_main.html Barix Clinics have a fabulous website that provides a wealth of information even if you are not using their services. They don't even have any facilities in my area, but I found so much good information. You can find information about eating right, getting fit, etc. They even have a program for people that want extra support after surgery ... I'll probably use it. It looks like yet another powerful tool.
You can buy An intensive eight-week program that addresses barriers to successful either a 1 or 2 month program from them. If I remember correctly, it includes weekly nutrional coaching, email w/info about changing habits, etc. weight loss and maintenance and puts you on track to success. It has a bunch of other resources, newsletters with helpful info, etc. I've already downloaded a number of the newsletters and they had a lot of useful information in them.
I hope it is helpful to you on your quest to lose the weight and maintain the loss. As I said, I'm just starting the process and I'm glad that the folks at Duke WLS Center pointed me to the information.
