Now the fun part begins. . .
Hello all. Well, I finished up all the pre-op appointment stuff this past week (finally!) and so now I begin the hopefully not so long wait for my stuff to be sent in to my insurance. Maybe with any luck I'll be a loser by July!! Keep your fingers crossed for me and pray for this waiting part to be oh so short and sweet. . .
Hugs,
Donna
Wow, sounds like we are doing things totally backwards from each other. I saw my PCP first, then my surgeon, then the psych dude, then the gallbladder/liver ultrasound, then finally the nutrionist. Now I just have to wait for the surgeon's office to get the nutrionist's report and then they will submit everything to insurance and hopefully a week or two later I'll have a date. Thanks for your encouragement and good luck to you!

Donna
Hey Donna! Missed you at the meeting thursday night! Dr Fuzz was there and his wife and children paid a visit. Anyways.... don't get in any hurry to hear from Susan B. I had my last visit with MM on the 19th of Febuary and I'm still waiting to hear! Hopefully I will hear something soon. Let me know when you hear something!

Hi Donna,
I will keep you in my prayers. If the surgeon has your packet together it will go to the insurance company within the week. Mine was done at UNC Chapel Hill and it had to go through financial services before it went to the insurance company. It still went out within the week.
My approval took a little longer than most: 3 weeks! Then it was another week before I received my confirmation letter. It took another 3 weeks to get an appointment with the surgeon... yesterday! Now my surgery is tomorrow! Dr. Farrell only requires 1 day fast. He said it's more important that we are strong when we go into surgery. Different doctors have different beliefs.
I will keep you in my prayers. Through God all things are possible!
Blessings,
Diane
