Anyone had surgery with Dr. James Moran in Louisburg NC?

I am just beginning my search and was wondering if anyone has had their surgery done by Dr. Moran? He was with Dr. Enochs and they do their surgery in Louisburg NC I understand that they split their practice in Sept 2006 and was wondering if anyone knows why the split came about. Dr. Moran has an office in Raleigh, but Wake County hospitals do not allow the surgery. Looking forward to any help. Thanks, MP

I had my surgery with Dr. Moran on March 1, 2007 at Louisburg. He is the greatest. I like him because you see him from Day 1, not his associates. He has a great bedside manner and spends as much time with you as you need. His nurse, Janell is wonderful, responds to whatever you need and even gives you her e-mail address. After my surgery, I had no pain at all, just a little gas. Louisburg Hospital is old, but the staff was wonderful to me. They gave great care from pre-op to post-op, I had no complaints and could not have asked for better service. I know 3 other people who had Dr. Moran. They speak very highly of him, which is why I chose him. He has done over 500 of these surgery's with no deaths or major complications and is the only Board Certified bariatric surgeon in the Raleigh area. Let me know if you need anything else. Hi Debra, Thanks for the reply. I just read your blog and sounds like you are doing great. How much have you lost since the surgery? Where you out of work long? From what Dr. Moran said the other night at the orientation , some people go back to work in a week, all depends on the type of work they do. I have an office job and hope to miss as little as possible. Mary Pat

Hey Mary Pat. I was out of work for only one week. I am an Administrator of an assisted living in Rocky Mount. I have lost 32 pounds since my surgery.
