Thanks so much Diane. It means a lot that you will be praying for me. Prayer works! I will do what I can to let you all know I'm home as soon as possible. I'm packing my bag today. Actually, I'm very much at peace with this. Mostly, I'm just excited. As an aside, I've been doing the Slim fast diet Dr. Chapman put me on for 2 and a half weeks now, and as of two days ago had lost 24 pounds! That put me under the anesthesiologists 17inch neck thing. I don't remember why that was important, but it has to do with how they intubate you. He said that having lost that much weight would make it easier for me with the anesthesia and of course will give me a better shot at having it done laparoscopically. Take Care Diane. ~Ellen

Ellen you will be in my prayer's as well. I know you have been waiting for a long time for this to happen for you. I sure hope everything goes perfectly. You have been a great source of information and support for me and many others on this board and I know many people will have good thoughts coming your way to help you through this. Ellen, I wish the best of luck to you on your surgery!! I am excited here for you! Although I am a newcomer here and I have a lot to learn, I love hearing all your knowlege and advice to others! Thank you! I hope once you're OTR and skinny you're still here with your wit and wonderful supportive advice when it comes time, (God willing) for me to have my turn.
