It sounds like your doing well. I've told people that I had WLS, ofcourse you get the good, bad and ugly comments. I've been told I'm too thin and need to eat up. I asked the person who said that if they would tell me i'm too fat and take away my plate. It just raise my ire quite a bit. I chose to spend my time around positive people preop and post op, I couldn't allow negativity to get in the way. I recently had two serious complications and the comments I got when I went back to work down right were rude. Someone told me I was too thin again. I work with many women. One told me she knew I'd have complications, which is not always true. I still have alot of belly fat so I don't consider myself skinny. I still hid in bigger clothes and notice I Have alot of bones in my neck/shoulder area. It's interesting. I still have a distorted body image. My husband loved me young, thin, fat, and nothing changed with him. He's a man and finds me attractive no matter what. Someone asked me if I wanted to be a trophy wife. A trophy wife would take care of herself, not like me. My finger nails look like I work on a farm they are rough, I don't really wear make up, do my hair, nor care. I can wear comfy clothes to work so why no. Well, sorry for my tanget. Good luck. I'm 1 year and 2 complications later and wiped out. I work full time and spend most of the time exhausted!

Jennifer, thank you for your reply to my post. I have a long way to go before anyone calls me skinny. LOL. I did lose a few more pounds last night though. I agree there are a lot of people with no sense of when to not speak... People where I live are very bad about gossip. The few people Ive told have blabbed it everywhere. I guess Im to blame as Im the one who told them to begin with. Just one complication for me. That was just after the surgery when some nurse gave me saline solution in my IV with glucose in it. My blood sugar spiked so high it shut my kidneys down. From everyone Ive talked to about it there was no permanent damage and they gave me something that jump started my kidneys the next day. For all the talk about how shallow men are, etc I can tell you your husband loves you because you are you. Your personality, the fact that you love him and want to be with him are why he adores you. Thank you again for your post and take care.

I love your daughter! That really tickled me. She's right you know. BTW I tell anyone who wants to know. This is America and we are all entitled to our opinions, good, bad and indifferent. Blessings, Diane Having surgery in April

R.M. maybe the beans are causing the gas pains. I know beans do effect me that way. You are only 4 weeks out, your body is still trying to adjust to your new way of eating, it will get better. If I remember correctly at 4 weeks I was only eating boiled eggs , cottage cheese and soft bland stuff. Beans even now are not the best choice for me. It is all a try and see game at this point. Good Luck
