Can anyone recommend or give me any info regarding the Duke Clinic?

Hi, I had surgery with the DUKE CLINIC. My surgery date was Feb 8-07, and my surgeron was DR.Portenier. In my opinion I felt the Duke was great, I never had a problem eveyone was very helpful and supportive. They have a website www.dukewls.org it's vey informative you are able to log on and set up your informational page so you can register for the information session( you have to go to a infomrmation session before you can have your 1st appt, they usually have the info session on friday's) I hope that I was of some help you can send me a email if you need to [email protected] Stephanie

I have had a great experience with Duke WLS. I went to my first information seminar 10/25/06 and just had surgery with Dr. DeMaria 1/9/07. SO my journey was really quick. Everyone there is so informed and helps you get through the process. They also have a website www.dukewls.org which is great support for everyone who has had the process or in the process. I was very put off with Beth at the Duke clinic. She was crass and very rude. I was so disappointed at the seminar because I had driven all the way from Asheville and chose not to go there because of her. The rest of the staff was wonderful. Good luck wherever you go!
