I have just joined this group. I am five days post-op RNY. I'm feeling great. Just feel the need to connect to others that have done this to get some support.

Well, Hi Debra......looks like most of the North Carolina Bunch has gone to bed early! Welcome to you, and I'm so glad you are post op and doing well. That is always an encouragement to the rest of us. Especially those who are still pre-op. Hope we'll see lots of posts from you in the next weeks on here! Hi Judie, I see that Dr. Voellinger Did your Surgery. I also plan on going to Dr. Voellinger, just as soon as my insurance issues get worked out. If you don't mind my asking, how did you like Dr. Voellinger and his staff, also what hospital did you go to? It's always nice to know someone elses opinion. Thanks Donna

Welcome to this board Debra. My name is Adrienne and I live in Mocksville. Just moved here 4 months ago. I had RNY a year ago on the 13th of this month and this has been a total blessing to my life and my kids life. I am down from 345 to 178 and feel wonderful. hi debra- lovely to have you join the nc board here. i, too, am reasonably new to nc-- my family moved here a year ago. we adore the gracious people and the incredible seasons! what a lovely, hidden jewel north carolina is! i'm three years out-- and, as most will tell you-- i'd do the surgery again in five minutes. it's been such a positive, life-altering experience. the very best to you as you begin this wonderful, exciting journey. alex
