Extremely painful experience....
Im not sure what I did. Maybe I didnt puree it enough or I ate it too fast. I think I got "clogged" this afternoon.
I knew something wasnt right as soon as I swallowed it. Ive eaten this before so I know the food agreed with me. Im sure I forgot to eat slowly or something. I wont forget again....
The first thing that hit me was wave after wave of nausea. I tried to throw up but couldnt. Then I got some really bad cramps in my chest (stomach). The cramps came in waves and were really painful. Then I would burb a little and feel a little better. I tried to lay down but that made it worse. In the end nothing really made it ease up. After 20 minutes it just disappeared. I guess the food passed out of the stomach?
Im not dead so I guess I didnt do anything to permanently damage my new stomach. I sure wont do that again.
Hey RM. Sorry that happened to you. Sounds like something got stuck. Some of the more experienced postoppers can speak to that. I will say that if you get a piece of meat or something stuck, you can use Papaya Enzyme to help digest it. You can buy it at Walmart, though I'm not sure where it is. I intend to look for it before I go in for my surgery. Anyway, I think it comes in rolls like lifesavors from what I understand and it really helps. That's if you have something stuck.
Take care.
Ellen
Sad but true this happens. I had it happen when I moved to soft foods.
I also had it happen when I ate oatmeal, which makes me dump. Your body knows. I remember throwing up a turkey sandwich on whole wheat made according to the dietary instructions provided. So, you just never know. Somedays my body cannot tolerate things.
Now, I go through alot of gasx and it's equivilent since my surgeries. You will figure out what works for you but this experiences sounds exactly like what happened to me several times. Laying down usually worked for me too.
