3 WEEK POST-OP VISIT

Hi everyone, Today I went for my post-op visit with DUKE and everything was great. My surgeron said that I was right on track on my weight loss. Another great thing was that he took me off the rest of my medication for my diabetes. ( I was so happy to hear that I almost cried. I also met with the Nut and the Psych doctor and all was well. So now I'm starting soft foods and I have a good variety to chose from. I 'll go back to work next monday as long as I can tolerate eating foods.. But I just wanted to get on and let everyone know how my day was. And to wish everyone a good day as well. Stephanie

Off of diabetes meds in three weeks, that is awesome. That's my dream too that and the high blood pressure meds and the high cholesterol meds and the antidepressents. Keep up the good work Stephanie, you are an inspiration to all of us who are just starting the process and who haven't gotten a surgery date yet.

Thanks for all the support everyone, as far as my high bp meds when I cam home my meds were cut in half, and I go to see my PCP thursday afternoon and hopefully I will be off those on thursday. I'll keep my fingers crossed. Have a good day everyone !!
