Hello, My name is Wendy and I have lost 102 pounds so far. My top weight was 314 and my goal is 140. I am hoping to hear from someone who has already been through plastic surgery who had a really great result. I live in Charlotte. My stomache is hanging about mid thigh, and my breasts are like deflated baggies! :'( Any input would be greatlt appreciated!! blessings, Wendy

Hey Wendy I don't know if I'm the other WLS member that Tina was talking about, but I think I am. I really liked Dr. Getz and his practice. They will submit to insurance if they think it is medically necessary and they usually do think so. I am completely pleased with my results. I had an anchor cut panniculectomy and they included a new belly button which I wasn't expecting. His office is located at 900 East Boulevard. Larry

hi there, wendy- i recommend dr david klein in concord without reservation. he did really top quality work for me and i found both dr klein and his staff to be very personable and professional. he is the only board certified plastic surgeon in cabarras county. he also has a very low post operative complication/infection rate according to the hospital qa staff nurse. alas, he does not accept insurance (that i'm aware of) but has negotiated a reduced rate for the concord hospital. he does not do a lower body lift as some prefer but does a panniculectomy-- the difference in his proceedure and other surgeons is that he does include muscle tightening in the panniculectomy. he does breast work- lift and augmentation in his office surgical theatre. his initial consult is no cost and is a private visit rather than the group consultation some other local surgeons offer. the best to you as you start this new adventure! alex

Hello Tina, Larry and Alex, Thank you for replying. Both surgeons sound very interesting. I would guess that most folks who have already had the surgery (plastic surgery) done don't come back here to post about it. It seems most of the posters are ones who are anticipating WLS. So I really appreciate the feedback. Can you tell me the "diagnosis" your surgeon has used to get your insurance compnay to pay for it? I am very interested how the surgery coud be deemed medically necessary. Thank you, Wendy
