What else is ahead?

Hi...I'm really starting to get excited! I went to the pschologist Feb. 2...follow up on Feb 27. Patient education class on March 1. Already had thyroid bloodwork, bone density test, and gallbladder ultrasound...all were ok. They told me after my patient education class I would be on my way. What comes after that? Any more test? Did anyone use medicaid? If so did it take long to get a reply from them?.....Patsy

I went through medicaid. It took me a total of 11 1/2 months from start to finish. For various reasons that I wont go into (LOL), my surgery was slowed quite a bit and your experience may be faster. I was turned down the first time but I wrote an appeal letter and was approved just a few days later.

I also went through medicaid and was approved within 24 hours of my doctors office submitting the info to them....My whole process from my 1st consult with the physician to my actual surgery was only 2 months...I was fortunate I guess..But that was 3 years ago now and i am sure they have come up with more tests and stipulations....Good luck with your journey.. Hi Tina...Thanks for your reply also. They told me after my patient education class I would be on my way. The next call I would get would be from the drs office. I feel like things have went pretty good so far...I just keep praying it continues....Patsy
