Please can someone help me!

I just had the laproscopic gastric bypass surgery on January 30th and I'm desperately looking for any kind of feedback. I'm in severe pain, and I was wondering if that is natural. I have a lot of pain on my left side, but also have some on the right too. Plus.. my draining tube was taken out at the hospital yesterday when I was released, and today when I looked at the bandage it was all bloody. What should I do? Is something wrong? Did this happen to anyone else? Please help me!!!

Stephanie, I'm not having my surgery until Feb 8th but I know that if you are in severe pain that is too much for you to handle your shoudl call your surgeon. Even if they tell you that pain may be normal....it's better to call just in case. I hope that you do get to feeling better. Stephanie

YOu need to contact your dr or the hospital asap. There is potentially a problem. I would not wait. Some complications can arise in the first few days after your surgery. I didn't have any problems, but the bloody drainage bandage would make me call the dr asap/ Good luck. Jen
