Question about Tenet (Frye Regional Medical Center)
Tenet is the billing company for Frye Regional Medical Center. I have had nothing but problems with them and it is getting on my nerves. In the nine months since my surgery I have not missed one payment to them (and thank God I only have one more payment). They have screwed up my account THREE times (and that is actually in seven months, since I didn't receive my first statement until November). First, they changed my address for some unknown reason and it took them two months and five phone calls to straighten that out. Then they cashed my check for April's payment but failed to apply it to my bill. I faxed them a copy of the check, and it still took them over a month to straighten it out......and that was after numerous phone calls, including multiple messages left with three different supervisors (only one returned my call and got the matter straight). Now, once again I have found out they did it with July's payment. I don't understand how people with such obvious incompetence continue to thrive in the business world. I even tried to find someone at Frye to complain to, so they would know how their accounts are being handled. I couldn't find one. Is anyone else having trouble with this company, or have any suggestions on dealing with them?
Thank you,
Nancy
Sorry that I cannot help you, but I use to work for Frye and it doesn't suprise me that you are having trouble with them. Things are not great in the Tenet world, it was bad to begin with and after the huricanes in the Gulf Coast, Tenet lost three more hospitals, which only caused more loss to a company stuggling to stay alive. The best advice I can give is to pay your last payment and hope the nightmare is over with that situation! Good luck!!!
Well don't know anything about Tenet, but I do wanna share I've been having hell with UNC Chapel Hill's billing department; it took me over 3 years to get them to correct my address in their system... therefore all coorespondence they say were sent to me I never received... I have a bill from 2003 that they never submitted to my insurance company... *which I discovered after reviewing my credit history*... never received invoice for that... They have not credited some of my copays to my account; which was discovered after requesting all my bills from 2002 to date... now i'm having to research if I used my debit card, check, credit card or cash on the dates of my office visit and of course if I used ca****'s going to be a lost cause..as I know I don't have the receipt.
Well, I've learned to keep everything from every dr visit now; my insurance invoices and if I haven't receive an invoice/bill from the hospital in what I would concider reasonable time.. I will now request it.. Good Luck to you and thank goodness you don't have to deal with them much longer!!
Hey Nancy, I am late responding to your message, but can honestly say I know exactly where you are coming from. I thought maybe if enough people complained to Frye that maybe they would find other means to handle their billing, however it seems all words fall on deaf ears. I will never go to Frye ever again unless its a situation that I have no say in the matter because of Tenet. Rude, crude, incompetent, inconsiderate doesn't even begin to address them. Rather than deal w/them, I took money out of our savings to pay my bill. Good luck to you. Maybe if everyone took their business else where, Frye will change billing companies. Thanks, Angie
