No weightloss so far!!!
Just wanted to see if anybody else experienced this post-op. I know the whole shebang about everybody being different etc
I had surgery on the 20th, lost 14lbs on the liquid diet, got out of the hospital on the 22nd weighed 4lbs less leaving the hospital then entering... scale hasnt moved since. Figured maybe after a week it would have moved a pound or so but holding steady! I know from previous weightloss experiences that I lose weight in chunks for the most part, a few pounds then nada a few pounds then nada. Just thought it was a little "strange" - not discouraged or upset or anything just a little baffled.
Hello Jennifer,
Do not worry , that ol scale will start moving . I think it took me about 3 weeks for the pounds to start dropping off. There is no way you WILL NOT lose weight, with so little food at this point. Just hang in there, you are on the loser bench now Girl, it will happen.

Hi!! While in the hospital, you should have been pumped full of fluids, too and that takes a bit to lose. I have heard alot of people say they actually GAINED weight the first week. Take it easy and remember to get in the fluids. This is a tool that we have to take advantage of. Kind of like a screwdriver and we are the screw... If you want to tighten the screw, you have to turn the driver. Just sip alot and try not to weigh too often (I know... thats hard). 14 lbs lost is fantastic!!!!! Just take it easy and rest, too. It will happen. The support group I go to has a motto, "The more you drink, the more you shrink". It is true. The more protein shakes I did, the more weight I would lose. Chin up, Doll!!!
