Hi All, I hope everyone is having a great day so far! I would love any suggestions about what to take to hospital with me and what all I might need after I get home? Thanks for the help Kim

Out of everything I brought to the hospital last week here is all I used - chapstick, hairbrush, face cloths and lotion, toothbrush, toothpaste, slip on shoes (mom said not to walk around in socks!), cell phone (of course!!!), pillow, deodrant and that was it! I had brought magazines, cards, puzzle books and didnt touch a single one For when I got home - I made sure I had everything I needed for my 2 week liquid post-op diet.... all the vitamins/minerals, soy milk, CIB, protein powder samples, popscicles, yogert, pudding and jello. In the hosp the NUT told me to get a no-salt subsititute that had potassium because the potassium was important. When I got home I went to walmart and got those drink mixes (single serving) that are no sugar added "sports" drinks - they have electrolytes as well as potassium better than drinking plain ole' crystal light. NUT said I could mix the salt subsitute with crystal light and make my own gatoraid if I wanted. I havent even touched the pudding or jello since being home... want to make every "bite" count so Ive been sticking to drinking my shakes, eating yogert and having ice pops as well as liquid.... also anything thick just makes me want to so the pudding is out. My dad came up to take care of me and when I got home the best thing was when I got there he did all the laundry and vacuumed - it was *definately* nice to come home to a clean house
