Had the circumfrential lift (lower body lift) by Dr. Hunstad in Charlotte, the MAN is the BEST!

Hi everyone. Just wanted to give an update, its been a while since I've posted. Ok, I had the Roux-n-y gastric bypass in Florida in June of 2000 by Dr. Normal Samuels and lost 125lbs., I had the circumfrential (lower bodylift) in Nov. of 2005 by Dr. Hunstad in Charlotte. He took off 25lbs from the front and back (and I know have a flat stomach (don't hate me) and the butt of a 20 year old (never had that when I was 20). I have to say I LOVE both of these doctors and both are the only surgeries I've had and I'm sooooooooooo glad that I had them both. If anyone has any questions about the plastic surgery, please feel free to ask me. Now, of course if I had LOTS and LOTS of money, I would think of having the thighs lifted, and the girls lifted, but I'm ok with everything as it is. ROBIN

did your insurance pay for the lower body lift or was it self-pay? if so how much was it, since I will be self pay when I have it done in about a year.... Thanks for your help! Pam 5'2" 282/164/145

No, insurance did not cover it, however, I went to a support group meeting last night at Durham Regional and there are some ins. companies that will pay for what I call a tummy tuck-but NOT for the butt lift part. I paid for it myself, it was NOT inexpensive, however, Dot another person referred me to Dr. Hunstad & he is worth every CENT that I paid him. Save your money, its around $15,000 and that was in Nov. of 2005, I'm sure prices have gone up! However, I would do it again. ROBIN
