New to the NC board

Hi, I am Shellie and I live near the zoo. I have been lurking a bit and thought I would introduce myself. I am 30 and weigh 453. (kinda like AA.. lol) and I am a foodaholic. I have two kids (twin girls) and am going to my preop appointment Friday. I hope to have a RNY very soon and am trying to learn as much as I can. I have been severly overwieght my whole life (300lbs by the age 13) and feel that this the only hope I have of ever being a healthy weight. I love the board ..everyone is so supportive! Hi Shellie Well I am also in the initial stages of my WLS Journey and definately relate to being overweight the majority of my life!!! I am also hoping to have the RNY very soon but currently twiddling my thumbs awaiting my new insurance Look forward to reading more about ya and never know we may be posting that our surgery dates are around the same time

read your profile today shellie, see your a lot further than I in the WLS journey!!! that's great!!! today is your day to hopefully have your surgery date!! you'll be a loser before you know it!!! I have to say I went to Carowinds Saturday (06/17/06) and when getting on the rides I felt like a whale stuck in a harnest it was sooo miserable, I actually had to get out of my seat on one of the rides and move to the fat people seat, which I didn't know they had or I would have sat there first honestly I just wanted off after trying to put the harnest on and the seat belt not reaching... one of my goals is to return and fit in the rides comfortably.. I have season passes it would have been nice if that goal could have been met this year, but the way my journey is going, it most likely will not, so guess i'll have to buy season passes for next year!!!! don't forget to update us on your dates.....
