Holly on her way home
Okay so 20 pds in 4 weeks. That means you will have lost about 100 pds on your five month anniversary. Shame on you girl. lol You are doing good. Just need us to keep you focused. You are doing great. I am proud of you and the walking. I need to get with it. I lost --let's see---130 divided by 12--about 12 pds monthly. This month is my one year anniv and I have lost about 130 pds.
Keep it up and you will be fine. I am proud of you.
You have always been a beautiful girl. I love to see your picture come up. I tell my husband--isn't she beautiful?--He agrees. Hope to meet you in person soon.

Sheri,
Don't get discouraged. Everyone loses differently. I have heard that the slower you lose, the better off you are, with the excess skin and stuff. Just be patient, you are not doing anything wrong. Try to increase your protein, start making a daily food log so that you can keep up with your calorie intake and use it to make better food choices or whatever you need to do. A food journal will help you tremendously especially at the stage that you are at. Be proud of that 20 pds, it is 20 pds that could have taken you two years to lose without the WLS. You are doing great and you will reach your goal before you know it.
Best of luck,
Stay Focused and Be proud of yourself, we all are!
Love,
Rhonda
Jane and Rhonda,
Thank you for your words of encouragement. I hope I can do as well as you have. I think I'm just expecting too much too soon. I'm hoping it will be better when I go back to work on May 15th, then I won't be able to sit on dwell on how much I have or have not lost. I'm going to do the diet log and try to increase my protien. Thanks again guys! I'm going to try and make it to the next meeting at pine grove.

Great advice given by all. I use www.fitday.com to log my food intake. It helps and when I am faithful with it, I always lose when I use it.
20 pounds is a WONDERFUL loss! Your body is in shock and will go through spurts of reserving your fat for energy, etc... Just keep it up, and remember, you are trading some of that in for muscle, which weighs more. Seems like I had only lost 40 or so pounds at almost 3 months out, and now I'm nine months out and have lost about 110. So, just keep on doing what you are doing. It's pretty hard to mess up at this point.
