Attention Medicare patients!!

I am very upset. I have been going for my monthly weigh in and diet follow ups with my doctor for 8 months and have only 4 months left, or so I thought. I went to Dr. Fuzz this week in Winston Salem. He said that in Feb Medicare change a lot of things . Apparently there are only 5 site currently in NC that Medicare is allowing the sugury. They are called "Centers of Excellence " and Baptist didn't apply like he had asked they to. They are trying to apply now but it will take awhile. The centers are at Duke, Fayettiville, Hickory, Concord and Willimington. The only good thing is that they reduced the time from 12 months to 6 months of diet, excercie, and weights. But he told me to continue because they may change their minds again. I am unable to go to these sites because of transportion problems and I have MS. My hubsband is still not happy about my decision to have the surgury so our trade off was to have it at the hospital where my MS doctor practiced in case of a problem. Plus I really do like Dr. Fuzz after I met him.Just wanted you all to know. I haven't been online here in awhile so I didn't know if you knew or not.
