I'm home...

Got home today around 11:00 and am still shocked at how good I feel and how easy the surgery and stay in the hospital was overall. The staff at Presby took such good care of me and Dr. Melkonian is wonderful. I had very little pain...of course I fell in love with Morphine for the first two days...what a warm, cozy feeling it gives you

I weaned myself off if it yeserday...walked and walked and slept and slept. My family was great...there with me all the way and I can't say thank you enough to my dear angel Allison who called and came to visit me (with her dear hubby Gavin.) It is so comforting to know she is right there with me in this and that we can support each other. Has anyone heard from Tamara Lynn??? I was hoping to see a post about how her surgery went. Thanks to everyone for your thoughts and prayers...glad to be home and on the losing side. Jamey

i'm glad you have had a good experience!! it only gets better. make sure to stay hydrated and get in some protein and calories. you will feel crummy when you become ketotic and it is tempting to not eat or drink..but you will feel soooo much worse!!! congrats!!! susan

Welcome Home Jamey! I am so glad that you are doing well. It realy is startling how well you feel so quickly after surgery. Take it easy though and don't overdo it. Welcome to the losing side--I hope that your journey continues to be easy . Roberta
