Just a quick hello during the coffee. Hope everyone has a great day . For the ones still trying to get approved , stick with your guns, keep calling , keep checking, don't allow others to stand in your way. If my husband and I did not call and pester , I would still be begging myself. I learned to get copies of every test and mail hard copies in addition to faxes ALSO if you send mail certified they have to sign for it in the office, that way you have a NAME to stick the blame on. I think in most cases , the staff is to blame on this losing documents and giving us false information. Dr Melkonian was with the center at Presbyterian Hospital , and they were the WORST, you can ask anyone how horrible they became in late 05 and 06, finally the two doctors pulled out THANK THE LORD , and all of us used the main offices and I personally found the staff wonderful. Where I never got return calls , I stared getting them , with real honest answers. The nurse at Melkonian's office Mel , is the best, when I call and say my name is .... she knows my case, and I am not the only one that gets this service. Do not allow the staff to put you off. Be professional, and cross all the T's and dot all your i's . Stick with the fight , your day will come. I was just like you a few months ago, I would cry and would be so down,,,, FINALLY now my journey has started -- I feel great and it was all worth the fight. Hey Allison. I'm glad everything is going so well for you. All the info that you shared is great. I would add that doctors often want feedback about their staff. If you are treated poorly or a lot of your paperwork is lost by their office staff, they want to know about it. Don't be afraid to speak up to the doctor if the need arises. Just my two cents. ~Ellen
