Still in pain....4 days post op

Hi everyone and thank you all for caring for me.I am in alot of pain.They had to really work hard in the upper right .He had to make 7 incisions instead of the usual 6.It is a big incision.My liver somehow has a strip down it that was hard (not from my eating or anything ) but he had to dig under it to move it so he could get to the stomach.I have had to take pain meds once a day and liquid Motrin once .That did nothing .I don't like to take narcotics.He usually gives his patient Oxcotin but I am allergic to Morphine so I am taking Lortab elixer.I am walking alitte and passing gas.That is good .I am getting protein and drinks in and divised a chart for everyone who feeds me to chart on.That way I can save it and give to Dr to see what I have done from Day 1.I chart my B/P and Blood sugar ,weight ,moods,meeds and foods on it.I am going to publish a journal one day and will include it in that too.I just wanted to say hey and keep me in ya'll prayers still.Love,Dee

Hi Dee, I am sorry that you are still in so much pain. It sounds like you are doing great though!!! Don't be afraid of taking the pain meds. That is what you need right now. Walk as much as you can and sip, sip, sip. Prayers that you feel better soon. Pat

Hey, Lady! I'm so sorry you're hurting. Can you take the pain meds more often? I remember from my hernia surgeries that if you let the pain get control, it's hard to get on top of it. Make sure you're taking it when you should...and not waiting too late. When are you going back in to the Dr? Let me know what he says. And YELL if you need me to do anything!!!
